The Czech Illusion
Adorf sits just minutes away from the Czech border (via Bad Brambach or Schönberg). In the Czech Republic, cannabis possession is largely decriminalized, creating a false sense of security for commuters. Do not be fooled. The German Zoll (Customs) and Bundespolizei operate heavily along the B92 highway.
Under the German CanG, crossing the international border with *any* amount of cannabis—even 1 gram legally purchased in Czechia—is a severe federal smuggling offense (Einfuhr von Cannabis). The 25g limit only applies to cannabis grown domestically in Germany.
The Bavarian Menace
To the immediate south lies the Free State of Bavaria (towards Hof). While cannabis is federally legal, the Bavarian state government has ordered its police force to enforce the laws with maximum severity and impose the highest fines in the country.
